Dynamo Camp was founded in 2007 from an idea of Vincenzo Manes, who is its Chairman. The mission is to offer these children a period of relaxation and fun for free and to contribute in developing their trust in their own abilities and potential. Dynamo Camp is part of the SeriousFun Children’s Network, a non-profit association that promotes and manages holiday camps worldwide which are specially structured to host children affected by serious and chronic pathologies for free.

A magical place
Dynamo Camp is a recreational therapy camp, the first in Italy specially structured to host sick children, in therapy or in the post-hospitalization period, free of charge for holiday and relaxation periods.Recreational therapy
The programme consists of a wide offer of fun creative and expressive activities, structured on the basis of the Recreational Therapy model. Every activity can be interpreted as a personal challenge, constructive and without elements of competition.For families
Dynamo Camp also offers programmes designed ad hoc for the whole family and programmes for the healthy brothers and sisters in the awareness that an illness does not just affect the sick child, but the whole family.Outreach
ince 2010, Dynamo Camp Non-Profit Association has also taken the Recreational Therapy programmes, the scientific basis of the Dynamo Camp programmes, outside the Camp, with the Outreach project, to hospitals and family homes and Dynamo City Camp.
Who the camp is for
Dynamo Camp hosts children from 6 to 17 years with serious and chronic pathologies who are both in therapy and in the post hospitalization stage free of charge. Dynamo Camp also offers programmes designed ad hoc for the whole family and programmes for the healthy brothers and sisters in the awareness that an illness does not just affect the sick child, but the whole family.
SeriousFun Children's Network
Dynamo Camp is part of the SeriousFun Children’s Network, a worldwide non-profit association and which is born from the dream of the actor Paul Newman – founder of the first camp in the United States in 1988 – and which since then has been the promoting force for these therapeutic experiences for sick children.
Where we are
Dynamo Camp is located in the heart of Tuscany, nestling in a WWF affiliated oasis in Limestre, district of Pistoia. As well as being easily reached from Pistoia, the camp can also be reached from Florence and Pisa airports which are about an hour away by road.
